This Privacy Policy explains how Wenhao Zhang, operating as FringeTrack ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit fringetrack.com or use the FringeTrack service (together, the "Service").

1. Information we collect

• Information you send us directly — if you email [email protected], we receive your email address and the content of your message.
• Basic technical logs — our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard web request logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
• Your email address — used to track free-report usage and, if you subscribe, to match your subscription to the reports you generate. FringeTrack does not currently require a password or account signup; your email address is the only identifier tying a report to you.
• Payroll data you upload — worker names, addresses, hourly rates, hours worked, and related payroll fields needed to generate certified payroll reports. Depending on which report you generate, this can include a worker's full Social Security number — California's DIR eCPR format requires it by law, and we collect it only when you choose to generate a California filing. We never include a full SSN on the federal WH-347 or any other output. This data may include personal information about your employees that you are responsible for having the right to share with us.
• Billing information — handled directly by our payment processor and merchant of record, Creem. We do not store your card details ourselves.

3. How we use information

• To generate the certified payroll reports and exports you request.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To respond to support requests.
• To send service-related notices (e.g. product updates, billing notices). We do not send unrelated marketing without your consent.

4. What we don't do

We do not sell your data or your workers' payroll data to third parties. We do not use payroll data you upload to train third-party AI models. We share data only with the service providers needed to run FringeTrack (for example, hosting and payment processing), under obligations to protect it.

5. Data retention and security

Generated reports (WH-347 PDFs and any state-format files) are retained for 30 days after generation, after which the download link stops working. Free-tier usage and subscription records tied to your email address are retained for as long as needed to operate the Service, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal or accounting obligations, unless you request earlier deletion. We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) appropriate for a small SaaS business, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your account data at any time by emailing [email protected]. If you are a contractor whose bookkeeper or employer uploaded your payroll information, please contact them directly, or contact us and we will route the request.

7. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service develops. We will post changes here with a new "last updated" date, and for material changes we will notify active subscribers by email.
